7th Annual Charity Dog Show and Carol Stream Chamber 5K Run/Walk Information- 2024
We would like to invite everyone to join us at the 7th Annual VetBros Charity Dog Show! This fun event will be held August 4th from 10 am - 3 pm at the Carol Stream Town Center (960 N. Gary Ave, Carol Stream, IL 60188). There will be lots of vendors, rescues, and other organizations joining us! Come check out their animals up for adoption, get free giveaways, purchase great pet items like treats and embroidered leashes, and more. There will also be food vendors, dessert vendors, alcohol sales, face painters, and more! Come have your dog run an agility course and check out our doggy water play area too! How fun!
We will have many events for pets to participate in (see below for the schedule), and pet families can win a variety of prizes! All proceeds go to The VetBros Pet Education Charitable Fund. This event will directly help pet owners in our community with hardships that they may be undergoing. Please consider participating in one of the fun events, making a charitable donation, or simply attending the event and supporting our cause.
The annual 5k race serves as an avenue to extend educational opportunities to graduating seniors in Carol Stream. Through this event, participants actively contribute to the cause of funding college scholarships. Every step taken in the race, whether by runners or those walking their furry companions, plays a crucial role in empowering the youth of Carol Stream to pursue their academic dreams!
Who We Are: The Carol Stream Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Foundation is distinct from the Chamber itself, focusing solely on supporting local youth through scholarships, nurturing academic excellence, and community development.
Why We Need Funding: Your donations empower students from our local high schools, providing them with the means to pursue higher education and a brighter future, thereby enriching our community.
Problems We Solve: We address the financial challenges that prevent capable students from advancing academically, fostering a culture of excellence, and enabling social mobility within our local area.
Our Vision: To ensure exceptional students in our area, who demonstrate excellence in academics, community service, leadership, athletics, and the arts, can attain their academic goals.
Our Goal: To grant five $3,000 scholarships to local students, helping them to realize their educational aspirations.
